Rowman & Littlefield publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed supplemental and core textbooks in the Humanities and Social Sciences for upper-undergraduate and graduate students. Browse our texts here.

We are committed to supporting educators who wish to use our textbooks in their classrooms. We offer examination copies of our textbooks at no charge. Once a textbook is adopted, a desk copy of a book can be provided. Please see the information below on how to obtain examination and desk copies.

TO OBTAIN EXAMINATION COPIES OF BOOKS FOR COURSE ADOPTION

Examination copy policy: Examination Copies are intended for qualified instructors who are considering the book as a required text for their course. Professors may request up to three titles per semester. Examination copies are available at the discretion of Rowman & Littlefield.

DIGITAL & PRINT EXAM COPIES

We offer digital examination copies of eligible books to ensure a quicker review process for professors. If you require a print book, you can find guidance in the instructions below.

We've partnered with VitalSource to provide digital textbook access. Faculty can access examination copies via their VitalSource Bookshelf, and students can rent their textbooks on a subscription basis. To request an examination copy through VitalSource, you can sign up here. With an account, it’s as easy as searching for a book and clicking the orange “Request Copy” button. Digital examination copies are also available via ebooks.com. To request an examination copy in this manner, go to a specific textbook page on our website and click on the eExam Copy button. It will take you directly to the ebooks.com portal. You will be prompted to create an account to request a book.

IF YOU'D LIKE TO CONSIDER A PHYSICAL COPY FOR COURSE ADOPTION

Go to the individual book page on this website and click on the Exam Copy button. When considering a printed exam copy, be mindful that orders are sent via USPS Media Mail (Media Mail can take up to 3 business weeks to arrive once the order is placed). All orders are confirmed via an automated email. Please check your spam folder if you don't receive this after ordering. Please order only once. Email RLtextbooks@bloomsbury.com if you are unable to locate the confirmation of your order.

TO OBTAIN DESK COPIES OF BOOKS THAT HAVE BEEN ADOPTED

Desk copy policy: Desk Copies are provided on a complimentary basis to qualified instructors who have adopted a text for course use and require their students to purchase a copy of the book.

Digital desk copies are available using the same procedure as the digital examination copy request above.

ANCILLARY MATERIALS & MORE RESOURCES FOR INSTRUCTORS

If you'd like access to Ancillary Instructor Materials, please register on our website. Then, email RLtextbooks@bloomsbury.com to request access. Once approved, materials will be available to download on the respective title’s page on the website. Please be aware that not all titles include ancillary materials.

In addition, access to the Rowman & Littlefield Companion Website by instructors requires a login.
